We loved staying at Cranford Cottage which exceeded our expectations. Steve offered an early check in as well as lighting the fire so it was warm when we arrived. The cottage was spacious and very well appointed for the four of us. The provisions provided were more than generous. The beautiful grounds were great to walk around as was all the gorgeous wire sculptures. Perhaps the best part of our stay was the warm and welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble! We will be back!

Have read numerous comments left by other guests and have to wonder what else we can say other than that they are all true. Cally and Stephen are genuinely warm, welcoming, multi-talented and generous hosts. A wonderful environment in which to spend a weekend - a week would be better. We loved the eco cabin and the detail to which it has been built. Very thankful our friends included us in this weekend stay. We will be back.

Our first visit to Cranford cottage and won’t be our last. Very cosy and well equipped right down to all the produce left for our use.Heathcote is a very developing area with lots to do but we would be quite happy just relaxing in the cottage.Delightful owners… nothing is too much trouble for them.

Excellent accommodation and hosts for a weeks holiday in the Heathcote area.
Property and gardens are great and well kept. Have a walk around and see the wildlife.
Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful.
A first class experience and enjoy the wood fire in winter.

Would thoroughly recommend staying at Cranford cottage which was a wonderful place to stay. The cottage was really comfortable and the views breathtaking. The property had some hidden gems such as the 4 hole golf course which meandered past the vegetable garden and chicken coup and the owner Stephen encouraged us to pick some cherries from his orchard. Great place to unwind and watch the stars at night. We were provided with some breakfast items and chocolate fudge on our arrival. Would recommend this lovely place.

We had a great time at Cranford Cottage. The place is awesome, really well kitted out and super cosy with the fire in winter. Perfect place to relax and do very little, which was our main goal! Will be back.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cranford Cottage! The attention to detail was great, from the decadent home made brownies waiting for us on a heart shaped plate, to the quirky chook shaped kettle with the foghorn sounding whistle. The bed was very comfortable (and I'm fussy), the breakfast ingredients of bacon, eggs, tomatoes and local bakery bread were top notch, and the wood fire added homeliness and much needed warmth. We definitely intend to return :)

Steve and Cally's hospitality has been amazing with an incredible abode. The fire was such a novelty for us, the view and cabin is spectacular. The extra touches with the brownies, delicious breakfast and bread from the country bakery was beautiful. Highly recommend this to anyone seeking a little golden getaway.

We loved our stay at Mt Ida Eco Cabin! The accommodation is lovely - comfy bed, warm fire, tunes on the record player, games and a great brekkie. We spent a night in with a home made dinner and bottle of wine in front of the fire - the cabin had everything we needed to prepare it. We'll certainly be back!

easy and comfortable place to stay, and very beautiful country. Sitting on the deck in the evenings was just what us city kids needed. We hope to get back soon. Thank you Cally and Steve.

Our stay at Cranford Cottage was beyond memorable. On our morning stroll around the property, we bumped into Cally & Steve on their way to tasting their cherry tree. They were very kind to offer a cherry tasting and recommended for us to go to a couple of wineries that day, which we did! Our Heathcote adventures can only get better staying at the Cranford Cottage!! Vick & Cam

Our stay at Cranford Cottage is ‘just what the doctor ordered’!!! We had a very relaxing 2 nights. Peace! Close to Heathcote and many wineries, if that is your interest. Much appreciated was the provisions for our coeliac. Bliss! Coffee machine, cook top, bbq, short golf course and comfy bed. What more could we have hoped for!? Thank you. Look forward to another stay!

Our third visit was as good as ever. The personal touches of scrumptious breakfast supplies, brownies, books, games and welcoming lit fire made our stay all the more special.

Thanks to Steve and Cally for wonderful stay at Mt ida cabin. It was way too short, but managed to see a spectacular sunset from the front deck, listen to some choice vinyl ... The Eagles 'Desperado' and Daddy Cool's classic first album ... read the Saturday papers, snuggle under the deluxe doona and then kick the day off with French toast as the sun rose in the east. Hope to be back!

You know a place is great when you return for a second visit. Cally and Steve are fantastic hosts, everything for your stay is provided from the fresh eggs to a warm bed. The farm is welcoming and located close enough to town for a quick trip but far enough away to have peace and quite. Our next visit will be with the larger family.

A most delightful and enjoyable stay at Cranford Cottage. It was well equipped, very comfortable with a great outlook and the breakfasts were fantastic. Cally’s slice was something to die for! We thoroughly recommend the experience and hopefully look forward to a return experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Cranford Cottage. So well thought out, immaculately clean with the most comfortable bed and breakfast provisions all provided. Cally's recommendation to visit Shiraz Estate was a pearl - even signed up for their Rent-A-Row package to experience the upstream tasks in the making a (hopefully) yummy Heathcote shiraz. We'll be back!

Stephen and Cally, We can only echo the sentiments expressed by the other guest comments with respect to Cranford Cottage and your lovely farm. Very comfortable, relaxing accommodation in a beautiful farmland setting - with all the creature comforts and breakfast goodies that put most other places to shame. Will certainly be staying here again when next our paths cross. Many thanks.

Wow...what a beauty, a GEM!! Stayed at 'Cranford Cottage' this time, but your smaller studio 'Mt Ida' looks awesome too. You guys have put some serious thought into the layout of your ENTIRE property, but in relation to Cranford Cottage specifically, the design of having two separate identical huge master bedrooms is a masterstroke. Perfect for couples...or even two friends just wanting a great bed and room each. Easily one of the cosiest & also cleanest accommodations I've had the pleasure of staying in. Every provision has been anticipated and provided for. Your fantastic bonus goodies of welcome brownies and breakfast goodies were as unexpected as they were VERY much appreciated....and greedily consumed haha. Hats off guys....you should be very proud of what you've delivered

This was my second stay at Cranford Cottage and was lucky enough to experience it during warmer weather this time around. It was a real pleasure being able to sit outside on the deck area and breath the fresh air and take in the peaceful surrounds whilst enjoying some of Heathcote’s amazing wine and beer. Once again, the cottage was immaculately clean, the beds are amongst the comfiest ever and we were provided with generous breakfast provisions and brownies. Really didn’t want to leave and already planning my next visit so I can check out the amazing looking Mt Ida cabin. Thanks again to the most gracious hosts, Stephen and Cally for sharing their slice of paradise.

It is our second stay at your property and our first time in the Mt Ida eco Cabin. We loved the character as well as the rustic feel of the cabin, with its stunning views, very comfy bed and sofa. Our friends also greatly enjoyed they stay in the cottage. It has been a real treat to introduce their nephew visiting from Malaysia, and their exchange student from Sweden, to a beautiful part of country Victoria. We are definitely looking forwards to returning for another stay. Thanks again for your warm and generous hospitality.

A wonderful 2 day stay in a beautiful environment. Our home was very comfortable with - a warm welcome given, ingredients for breakfast supplied, beds and bedrooms uncluttered and very well appointed with quality linen, wood for open fire left for us, and very friendly and obliging hosts in Cally and Stephen. Many thanks,

We loved our 4 night stay at Mt Ida cabin. The simplicity of it is one of its greatest assets. A roaring fire kept us warm and our hosts made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfasts of bacon and eggs; home made brownies on arrival; fresh bread and home made jams made for a lovely start to each day. The view from the front windows is beautiful - so relaxing! The rural surrounds; the 4 hole golf course and the bikes add to the joy. It is located close to town and to many wineries. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. We intend to return.

We had a lovely stay at the stylish Mt Ida eco cabin. The perfect little retreat for refreshing weekend away from the big smoke. The cozy, well equipped cabin is situated close to Heathcote's finer wineries and pubs. Ingredients for a cooked breakfast were left for us courtesy of Steve and Cally's very own chooks and homemade brownies were an extra special treat. Couldn't have asked for more thoughtful hosts. Look forward to returning soon... Exactly what we needed!

Wow, wow, wow!
This cabin is perfectly set amongst a spectacular Heathcote backdrop. It had everything we needed to stay put and take in the scenery whilst still being close enough to the town centre for any last minute supplies. The host are very accommodating and have great attention to detail. A walk around the property is a must and definitely get the fire going to complete the stay!

Ah, the serenity :)
Cranford Cottage: peaceful, clean, beautifully decorated, very comfortable amenities.
The surroundings: Warm, calm and spacious.
The hosts: friendly, welcoming and prompt communicators. And respected one's privacy.
A brilliant 2 night stay in Cranford Cottage that exceeded expectations. Greeted by lovely music playing softly, with sun streaming through big glass doors. A fire ready laid begging to be lit. Yummy brownies & fresh fruit on the table, fresh bread, eggs, bacon, tomatoes and real butter for our breakfast.
Cannot recommend highly enough though loathe to as really want to keep this a secret :)

This place is a little slice of magic in the Victorian country side. Cally and Stephen have thought of everything. Cranford Cottage is incredibly well maintained, comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. We loved the generous supplies that were provided - including the cherries from their trees, local wine and bread etc. The fresh chook eggs that Cally put in our car as we were leaving topped off a perfect weekend. Thanks for a truly lovely stay. We will definitely be back!

We both enjoyed our stay at Cranford Cottage, it is so well-presented, maintained and cosy. We appreciated the breakfast supplies (especially the free-range eggs from Cally & Stephen's own hens), bottle of local wine and fruit cake! The cottage is thoughtfully equipped with everything required for a short stay and is only a 5 minute drive into the Heathcote township. We will be back in the cooler months to enjoy the log-fire!

Staying at Cranford Cottage was a fantastic experience. Arriving to the beautifully appointed cabin (that was also stocked with wine and delicious provisions for brekkie!) was delightful. The cabin is wonderfully located to explore the wineries in the Heathcote region. Cally and Stephen were great hosts. We will definitely be back the next time we find ourselves in this part of country Victoria!

We really enjoyed our stay @ Cranford Cottage, very spacious. It was great to have a meal ready on Friday night, just to heat up. Breakfast is always an added bonus. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning. We would love to stay again, hopefully a little longer next time. P.s Also enjoyed the brownies. Thank you for the little extra touch.

It was far too hard to leave this beautiful cottage behind. We loved the fresh breakfast ingredients, sitting on the big deck watching the world go by, the fireplace, and being so close to high-class wineries. We look forward to coming back again, and wish our fantastic hosts Stephen and Cally all the best for the second cabin they are building.

We very much enjoyed our stay at your farm cottage. Thanks for making us so welcome. It was a very lovely mid week break, and we will book in another time for a weekend to take advantage of all the markets and wineries that open for lunch then. We hope you have success with the new cottage you are building too. - Chris and George

We enjoyed this lovely accommodation particularly the thoughtful decor and set up, wood fire, peaceful outlook and quietness. The generous breakfast provisions and brownies and wine on arrival were perfect for this mid winter get away for a couple of nights. It was hard to drag ourselves out and about as it was so cozy. Callys' recommended restaurant for our second night was great and topped off our stay. Thank you.

We had such a wonderful weekend and Cally and Steve could not have been better hosts. The fire was on and music playing when we walked in, not to mention the freshly baked homemade brownies. The place is lovely, the 4 hole golf course a laugh and the breakfast provisions YUM. We'll be back I have no doubt!

Wonderful accommodation, perfect for one couple or two. Lovely homemade brownies on arrival and generous local breakfast provisions. We saw kangaroos each day on the property and even had one hang around as we played a game of bush golf! A relaxing, warm, and inviting place to stay while visiting the local wineries, or even just to take time out. We would love to visit again soon. Consider trying lunch at Flynns, dinner at the Willow Room, and bottles of Sanguine shiraz while visiting.

Cranford Cottage is the perfect little Australian farm getaway. Our 4 and 2 year old girls loved meeting the brand new little chicks, exploring farm and having a go at mini golf. They didn't want to leave! The accommodation was perfect and the supplied breakfast was more like a fully stocked kitchen for almost the whole weekend! Including fresh eggs from their own chickens. We will definitely be recommending Cranford Cottage to our friends. Thanks again Cally and Steve.

Cranford Cottage was everything we had hoped for and more - a modest tin shed from the outside, but a warm, welcoming, clean and modern 2-bed/2-bath apartment on the inside. We loved the big deck equipped with BBQ and big umbrellas to shade us from the afternoon sun as we sipped our new wine purchases. A perfect location to visit all of Heathcote's wine region - just wished we had more time to stay! Thank you Cally & Stephen - we'll be back for sure :)
